Membership

Membership is currently only open to Ktunaxa and Shuswap Band members and citizens who attended the Kootenay Indian Residential School and their direct descendants (children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren). As the society grows, membership will become open to more Indigenous communities. To become a member of the ⱡkamnin̓tik Society, it is free, and requires that you fill out the membership form at the bottom of this page.

As a member of the society, you will contribute to the society through your own decision to volunteer at events, attend events, or be a facilitator at the Interpretive Center located at the St. Eugene Mission Resort located North of Cranbrook, BC. You will be able to attend the Annual Gathering Meeting, and participate in events, such as healing circles, workshops, business decisions, and voting for the new board members. You will also stay informed about different events and business that the society will be doing. As a member, you are not required to volunteer, attend or participate in events, or be a facilitator, but you can support the society for what they stand for, and their goals to tell their truth, and preserve the truth for our future generations.

Please signup using the form below or if you prefer download the printable form.
